UNITED NATIONS – FAO (From 5/2008 up to now)
In charge of the Programme of work on Sustainable Use on PGRFA, Farmers’ Rights and cooperation with international agricultural research centres for training programs on conservation and sustainable use of PGRFA.
ITALIAN MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE (From Sept 1988 to 5/2008)
In charge of “Agriculture and Environment Unit” (PGR Project Coordinator and Special Projects of Rural Development)
- Technical Coordinator with decades of experience in the seed certification and plant variety protection, test fields of the European Union, national seed certification and production.
Expert in many Committees/Working Groups related to genetic resources for food and agriculture c/o: FAO (Rome), EU-Commission and the Council (Brussels), Convention on Biological Diversity-CBD (Montreal), World Intellectual Property Organization-WIPO (Geneva), Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development-OECD (Paris).
Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences and Ph.D. in Agrobiology and Agro-biochemistry.
